Story: Emily Bronte's classic novel is transposed to a modern-day California in this MTV teen movie, which features a pumping rock soundtrack and a complete modern makeover of Bronte's original characters and plot lines. Erika Christensen stars as Cate, a girl who lives in a lighthouse on the lonely 'Heights' with her dad and brother, Hendrix (Johnny Whitworth). On his travels, Cate's father encounters a strange boy, Heath (Mike Vogel), and invites him to come back with him to the family home. Jealousy, obsession, seduction and betrayal follow as Cate and Heath form a passionate bond that transcends everything else in their lives.
